Apply now and become a valued member of our team.Responsibilities & Requirements:Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a minimum of 5 years in the field;Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, pneumatics, hydraulics, and trailer suspension;Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment;Conduct thorough inspections to identify worn or damaged parts and components;Repair or replace faulty parts, including but not limited to brakes, cylinders, valves, hoses, and seals;Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards while performing all maintenance and repair tasks;Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and work performed;Collaborate with other team members to prioritise and complete work orders in a timely manner;Be available for standby duty and willing to work overtime as needed.

The ideal applicant will possess the following:-A minimum of Grade 12 (Std. 10) or equivalent academic qualification.Qualified Diesel Mechanic (other Artisan trade qualifications will also be considered).A post matric qualification in the technical / N4 engineering field will be a strong advantage.At least 5-8 years working experience in heavy duty vehicle maintenance.At least 2 years in a relevant management position.Proven track record in vehicle fleet management.Job Outputs:Assist in managing the Budget.Oversee maintenance to the vehicle fleet.Manage maintenance of facilities, tools and equipment.Control parts, workshop tools and equipment.Manage administration functionsSupervise Workshop Personnel and identify developmental needs.Ensure that the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations are adhered to in the workshopMonitor Asset Register.Liaise with Manufacturers and Suppliers to ensure optimal service delivery.
