Our client, specialising in financial immigration services, is looking to bring on board a Senior Sales Force DeveloperThe Role The Senior Salesforce Developer is a member of the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) team reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The incumbent will work closely with the Business Analyst (BA).The role is responsible for:Salesforce implementation, incl. maintenance & enhancements, from a technical, design, and code perspective.Configuration, testing, debugging, and correcting sections of code and integration to external systems.Documenting programme requirements, in compliance with the programming standards framework and best practice architectural principles.The release management process.Duties and Responsibilities:Configuration and development:Design, configure, customise, develop, test, document and deploy high quality business solutions on the Force.com platform according to specifications and standards.Follow the design of all custom development as communicated during planning. Implement and adhere to Architectural Standards.Prepare test cases, test data, plan & conduct basic unit/ module testing, full integration/ regression testing.Adhere to test driven development principles, doing continuous integration.Adhere to architectural standards and development best practices ito tool utilised, source code management, configuration, and coding standards.Perform Salesforce process automations using amongst other, Salesforce flows and APEX code.Configuration, customisation, and development to integrate Salesforce with external systems using Web services and API’s.Configure and customise Digital Experiences in line with business requirements.Evaluate software products and recommend best fit in terms of functionality and value for money.Keep track of time spent on each task and update project team & business on status of delivery as per agile methodology.Take full accountability for the release management process.Integration leadership:Responsible for the interfaces between Salesforce and external systems involving interfaces with multiple systems web services, APIs, and plugins.General:Deliver a configured CRM system on the Salesforce platform to meet business requirements.Ensure ease of maintenance by implementing best practice and architectural standards to limit customization.Enhance CRM system to meet time, quality, and cost expectations.Compliance:Comply with all company standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, guidelines, and procedures.Comply with all regulatory rules including but not limited to FSCA, FAIS and SARB (where relevant).Key Relationships:Key Relationships Internal and external relationships; level of interaction and purpose.Internal:PrimaryInformation & Communications Technology (ICT) team members – interact and communicate to ensure successful delivery of project/programme outcomes.Chief Operating Officer (COO) – to seek advice, direction, and guidance on delivery of successful project outcomes.SecondaryRisk and Compliance – to consult and seek advice on financial / business risks, controls, mitigating actions and response.External:Salesforce system integrators (Salesforce.com).Technical resources from external companies.Role requirements:It is desirable that the candidate have proven expertise in both business and technical facets of the role including:Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Salesforce Development Certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Salesforce Development and release management.Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).Experience in SQL is recommended, but not required.Ability to solve problems and/or deliver innovative solutions.Ability to cope well under pressure and remain calm in dynamic situations is crucial.Ability to prioritise and focus on multiple tasks to achieve positive outcomes is crucial.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to explain complex issues in easily understood language that convey key messages successfully at all levels of the organisation.
